Moving Day. Kelowna to Victoria

We did it! We moved to Victoria!
Moving is never easy, it was a  lot of work and a bit stressful, especially because we moved in winter and driving a big truck with a trailer through a winter storm is not fun at all. But it is over, we did it, we are in Victoria and we are very happy to be here.

For our move we rented eco friendly gogo boxes. They are big hard plastic boxes that have a two piece lid that secures itself when they come together so you don't have to go through the annoying process of taping each box. They are also very easy to load and unload, you just stack them up on the little dolly and push. You can check them out here www.gogobox.ca

Packing, and packing and bubble wrapping.

Some of my paintings wrapped in plastic.

We rented a Uhaul truck and a trailer for the car.
We left  at 5 am and it was snowing hard!
I have to say Uhaul was not a good service at all, they are very disorganized and only caused us more stress.

We drove over 6 hours from Kelowna to Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal, it normally takes about 4 but there was a big storm.  It was a bit scary but once we got on the ferry we relaxed and enjoyed the ride.

Here we are on the ferry.
