Victoria Here We Come!

The move has begun! Victoria awaits us in Spring! We have been wanting to do this since last year and the time has finally come.
We rented an apartment in downtown Victoria a block away from Cook Village, and we are very excited! The markets start in April so I have one month to get ready for that now that I have work permit.
This week we will be packing and organizing things for the big move day, Saturday!

Last Days of Winter / Ultimos dias de Invierno

I think winter is finally over!! The light is different now. It was beautiful and sooo cold!
Bye bye winter and  bye bye snow,  I will miss you little mallards... We are moving to Victoria in 12 days!! I am so excited!

Valentine's Day Picnic!

I love picnics on Valentine's Day!  It is the perfect date!

It is so simple and so much fun to have a picnic. Here is my idea of a romantic Valentine's menu:

Start with a fruit and cheese platter, you can play with cutting the fruit in heart shapes.

Then a Santa Fe Chicken Salad Wrap, I love this one is so good and so easy to make! You can get the recipe here.

Have a platter of fresh vegetables to dip in a Hummus Tahini dip yummy check out the recipe here.

For dessert chocolate cupcakes! (easy recipe here)

And of course, don't forget the wine!
